On
an unassuming street in Manhattan’s garment district,
a crowd gathers late in the night, looking for a door. The littering
and excited people are almost running down the block in anticipation.
This mystery doors lead the nocturnal explorers to an urban
escape hatch: Club Shelter. Once past the entrance, the hallway
reverberates with the sounds of dance music and the space comes
alive. Nightclubs have always offered city-dwellers a way to
escape the challenges of urban life and Club Shelter is a spot
offering a haven of fun and beautiful dance music in New York
City.
Club
Shelter is being developed and run by a group of individuals
with over 50 years of music industry experience combined. Their
goal is to make a club for people as passionate about music
as they are.
The word class Phazon sound system from the late
super-club Twilo has been installed on the main dance floor
and another Phazon system is in place in the basement level
space, called Sub- Shelter. Club Shelter offers a diverse line-up
of parties throughout the week, featuring New York’s finest
Djs as well as internationally renowned talent.
This
year, Club Shelter is happy to host the graduating class of
2006’s official After Prom Parties.
Club Shelter will offer seniors an unforgettable experience
in their last days in high school.
